A Little Update

Sean is doing really well. He is up on crutches now so he is able to move around more quickly through the house. All of his follow-up appointments turned out well. He is healing quickly. He should be able to get his boot off the broke foot in 3-4 more weeks. His new round of pain has begun in the last couple days. His doctors told him we would experience a new round of a different pain once he got moving on crutches and started putting pressure on the sprained ankle. I am back to work this week so Sean is making it on his own. He is getting VERY bored sitting around the house so give him a call and say hello!!

A Better Day

Sean is feeling so much better today! It is like night and day. He got up once last night because he was a little uncomfortable. I gave him his pain meds and he went right back to sleep and slept until 7:00am. He is able to get around in his wheelchair which is helping him get up and get some movement. I was even able to get him into the shower today. You should see the two of us. I am sure it is comical. I know we find ourselves laughing sometimes. Thank you to all who have called to check in. You all must be doing your job because he is feeling VERY good today!!! He feels so good that I have to keep reminding him to slow down. I will keep you all updated. We have a follow-up doctor's appointment tomorrow morning so we hope all will be well!

Sean's "Little" Accident

For those of you who haven't heard, Sean had a little bit of an accident at work yesterday. Actually, it wasn't so little. He fell from the roof a 3 story home yesterday. We are VERY lucky that he is with us today. He had angels watching over him. We are all so thankful!!! Poor Sean though isn't feeling so thankful today! He is in A LOT of pain. He came away from the fall with a fractured bone in his left foot, very bad sprain on his right ankle, stiches in his head, and a L1 spine compression fracture. So that means he can not walk or even move. The doctors were amazed that he came away from the fall with only those injuries!! Please keep him in your prayers. I have never seen him cry in pain like he did through the night. I am trying to be there for him. I wish I could do more for pain, but I am trying to keep him as comfortable as possible.

Camping

We went camping last weekend at this nice little campground my parents found. Their campsite was right on the water. It is so peaceful!! Madi fished for her first time and caught a lot of fish. She loved to reel them in but threw the pole down when they got to shore and screamed. Papa fried them up for dinner one night. He left them in the shape of the fish so Madi wasn't sure she wanted to touch it. She kept saying it was going to bite her. So she sure wasn't going to take a bite. It was kind of funny!! We are going back there this weekend with all the family (Peggy, Tasha, Barry). It should be a lot of fun.

July 4th Week in New York

We had the best time in New York July 4th week. We had perfect weather for our visit to the Islands. You couldn't ask for a better vacation! I could get used to spending every day on the boat with some juice!!
